Common questions
I was just arrested or given a desk appearance ticket. What should I do first?
Do not discuss the facts with police, the complaining witness or on social media. Write down your court date, keep every paper you were given, and speak with a defense lawyer before your first court appearance.
Do you handle cases outside New York City?
The office is in Flushing, Queens. Tell us where your case is pending and we will confirm at the outset whether we can appear in that court.
Can I consult in Chinese?
Yes. Consultations are available in English and Mandarin Chinese by phone, WeChat or email.
How are fees structured?
Fees depend on the type of case and the work it is likely to require. The scope and fee are confirmed in a written engagement agreement before any work begins, as New York rules require.
